The Women’s Guild will host its 5th annual Ladera Derby Day event and honor a milestone year for Laura’s House. This much anticipated event will take place on Saturday, May 4th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Covenant Hills Clubhouse in Ladera Ranch.
During Ladera Derby Day, the Orange County community and guests will come together to watch The Kentucky Derby race and play classic lawn games at the beautiful Covenant Hills in Ladera Ranch. At the same time, Laura’s House will honor Christine and Vic Abuharoon with the 2019 Guardian Angel Heart Award for being outstanding members of the community who consistently support Laura’s House in extraordinary ways.

Attendees can view the historic thoroughbred horse race and be a part of the tradition. Coined America’s greatest race, The Kentucky Derby will be streamed LIVE on the movie theatre sized screen. Ladies and gentlemen can grace the Laura’s House purple carpet in Kentucky Derby attire and lawn games will also be in play for prizes. All efforts will go towards raising funds and making a difference in the lives of the Laura’s House families.
The light-hearted afternoon will include a southern buffet with beer, wine and the classic derby style mint juleps. Silent auction and opportunity drawings will help raise awareness of community businesses and Laura’s House. Group tickets and table sponsorships will be available through Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
